PROGRAM OVERVIEW
As global forces increasingly shape local outcomes, Atlanta’s leaders must be prepared to operate in an interconnected world. In response, the World Affairs Council of Atlanta launched the Global Leadership Fellows, a selective, cohort-based leadership development program for early-career professionals.
The program cultivates globally fluent, cross-sector leaders positioned to shape Atlanta’s future across business, government, civil society, and the nonprofit industries. Fellows are selected from diverse professional backgrounds and bring 5–15 years of experience to a 10-month learning experience grounded in real-world exposure and applied leadership.
Through a structured series of Master Classes, leadership coaching, and an international immersion, the Global Leadership Fellows program prioritizes direct engagement with decision-makers, institutions, and global challenges. Fellows gain practical insight into how global systems function and how leadership decisions are made—emerging better equipped to navigate complexity, build relationships and contribute to Atlanta’s civic, economic, and professional landscape.
