• Emerging Leaders: Early career professionals with 5-15 years of experience who have demonstrated leadership potential and a commitment to excellence in their respective fields. 

• Internationally Minded Individuals: Those with an interest in global affairs and a desire to develop a deeper understanding of the interconnected world. 

• Cross-Sector Innovators: Individuals from diverse sectors including business, government, and civil society who are eager to collaborate, share, and learn from each other’s experiences. 

• Community Builders: Professionals dedicated to fostering strong, diverse communities and driving positive change. 

• Aspiring Change-Makers: Those who are ready to implement innovative solutions to complex global and local issues. 

• Lifelong Learners: Individuals committed to continuous personal and professional development, and who are open to new perspectives and experiences.

Incomplete and late submissions will not be accepted. 

Upon acceptance of an invitation, Fellows are required to pay a $500 participation fee. 

Expenses included: 

• Round-trip, international airfare, taxes, and fees from Atlanta. Fellows are responsible for any costs that exceed $1500. (Upgrades are not covered by the travel grant. Airline miles redeemed for airfare do not carry a cash value for reimbursement.) 

• Accommodations for overnight lodging during program. 

• Local ground transportation for activities listed in the itinerary. 

• Meals based on the U.S. Department of State Foreign Per Diem Rates. 

• Admission to all museums, tours, public and government buildings listed in the itinerary.  

Expenses not included: 

• Meals, snacks, beverage costs outside of the Foreign Per Diem Rates. 

• Activities not listed on the itinerary. 

• Round-trip airport ground transportation and transportation to locations not listed on the itinerary.  

• Tips for personal purchases. 

• Incidentals (mini-bar, room service, laundry fees, etc.) and personal purchases. 

• Travel insurance. 

• Visa expenses and associated fees if required. 

Attendance and participation are mandatory for all Master Classes, scheduled events, and International Immersion. Applicants must submit the Participation Agreement Form with their application. 

Supervisor approval is necessary because attendance and participation are required at all Master Classes, events, and the international immersion. This approval ensures that your participation in the program is supported by your organization and helps confirm that you will be able to balance your work responsibilities with the program's commitments. Applicants must submit the Supervisor Approval Form with their application. If you do not have a supervisor, you will sign the form yourself. 

We value recommendation letters that provide a detailed and personalized assessment of an applicant’s professional skills, character, and potential for leadership impact within the Global Leadership Fellows program.
 

• Depth of relationship: Two (2) letters should come from a supervisor, mentor, or colleague who has worked closely with you and can speak to your professional abilities and personal qualities. The recommender should describe the duration and the nature of your professional relationship. Letters should not be from friends or family members.

• Assessment of Leadership Qualities: Description of your leadership capabilities and skills you have demonstrated in your professional career.

• Authenticity and Context: Authentic examples of how you have faced and overcome challenges in your professional journey.

• Relevance to Program Criteria: Emphasize how your skills and experiences align with the Global Leadership Fellows program's objectives, particularly in terms of global perspective, innovation, and community impact.

Applicants can expect to hear back about their application in July. Please note that all applicants will be contacted regardless of the outcome.
