About the event
The International Rescue Committee in Atlanta serves refugee and immigrant populations through our holistic programming including physical donation collection and distribution. Program volunteers are needed Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 9:30am – 12:00pm to help sort donations, put together hygiene kits, and organize donation space.
Responsibilities
- Sort household and clothing donations
- Pack hygiene kits
- Assist with counting and tracking inventory
Requirements
- Must be patient and comfortable working with refugees and immigrants from diverse backgrounds, many of whom have limited English proficiency
- Must wear a mask while in specific donation spaces
