Young Leader's 3rd Annual International Potluck

Topic Overview 

The Young Leaders International Potluck is an annual gathering hosted by the World Affairs Council of Atlanta that invites Atlanta’s young professionals to come together around a shared table and share stories. This vibrant, informal celebration uses food as a universal connector to deepen cultural understanding among Atlanta’s rising global leaders.  

Now in its third year, the event reflects the Council's ongoing commitment to foster world class leadership, cross-cultural engagement, and community-driven diplomacy. 

About the Event 

The international potluck brings together young professionals to share delicious dishes, foster connections, and celebrate diverse cultures all under one flavorful roof. 

This year, in the spirit of global citizenship and community service, we’re kicking off the evening with a packing party for Operation Christmas Child. Participants will help assemble gift-filled shoeboxes to be sent to children in need around the world. It’s a hands-on way to engage in meaningful giving before we settle into the rest of the evening’s festivities. 

Attendees will leave with: 

• A deeper appreciation for how cultural exchange fosters global understanding 

• Awareness of the diverse global identities represented in Atlanta 

• Inspiration to pursue globally minded careers and community work
