The outcome of the April 28 general elections in Canada will significantly impact both domestic affairs and U.S.-Canadian relations, regardless of which candidate wins.
Liberal Party leader Mark Carney, a former central banker, is entering the political arena for the first time, while Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre has been a member of Parliament since 2004.
