Jonathan is the Head of Digital Health and Care in Scottish Government, and is currently leading the Digital Covid-19 response across the NHS and Care sectors, including the Covid Vaccination system and Protect Scotland app. Jonathan has overall responsibility for the Digital Health and Care Strategy for Scotland, and for ensuring delivery of major programmes which support the strategy.

Prior to joining Scottish Government in November 2019, Jonathan held a number of NHS IT and Digital posts, and has delivered major data, IT and eHealth projects and programmes across the UK. Innovation has also been a key focus and Jonathan was a CivTech challenge sponsor for this major SME development programme.

Abby McQuade
Chief Innovation Officer
Rhode Island Dept. of Labor & Training

Abby McQuade is the Chief Innovation Officer and Senior Advisor to the Director at the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training. Over the last eighteen months, she has led the RI DLT’s push to modernize its unemployment insurance applications.

 

Additionally, she is the architect of the administrative structure used to support the Department’s workforce development programs Back to Work RI and Real Jobs Rhode Island. Prior to working at the DLT, Abby was a member of the Rhode Island Office of Management and Budget’s leadership team and a senior member of the House Fiscal Advisory Staff.

Stuart Venzke

Stuart Venzke leads the Amazon Web Services (AWS) state and local Human Services and Labor practice within the AWS for Health and Human Services organization.  Before joining AWS, Stuart led the state and local government health and human services business for a global system integrator (GSI), and before that was the chief operating officer of a large, integrated public sector health and human services agency. He has more than twenty-five years of experience as a health and human services executive and consultant, always working to provide more effective, efficient, and responsive services to individuals and families in need.

Amy Wykoff
Director of Product Management 
IBM Watson Health 

Amy Wykoff is the Director of Product Management for IBM Watson Health Government Health and Human Services, responsible for developing products to meet the unique challenges of Health and Human Services organizations worldwide. In this role, Ms. Wykoff supports the product lifecycle from the identification of market need through to development, launch and operations. The offerings in Ms. Wykoff’s portfolio shape health and social policy in 18 countries and support the administration of health and social benefits to over 65 million people worldwide. 

Throughout her career, Wykoff has worked with government and healthcare organizations globally to align IT investments with emerging trends. Ms. Wykoff joined IBM as part of the Curam Software acquisition. Prior to joining Cúram Software, Wykoff was Director of Product Strategy at Oracle. In addition, Wykoff served as an industry analyst at both Gartner and META Group.

Laura Dawson

Laura Dawson is Americas Director at the AWS Institute. She has more than twenty years’ experience working with government and policy leaders from around the world to build connections, share stories, and advance new ideas. Previous appointments include Director of the Canada Institute at the Wilson Center in Washington DC, Senior Economic Advisor at the U.S. Embassy in Canada, and Director of Dawson Strategic. She holds a PhD in political science.
